Competition Guidelines
Teams
- The league consists of 7 matchday weeks and 2 playoff matchday weeks.
- Each team will have a minimum of 8 players or more.
- The competition includes 8 teams: Team A, Team B, Team C, Team D, Team E, Team F, Team G and Team H.
League Regular Season
- Each team will play each other once for a total of 7 games.
- All teams at the end of the regular season will continue to the playoffs.
Penalties
Penalties will be taken American style. A run up of 5 seconds will be allowed for the attacking player to shoot on goal. The attacking player will not be allowed to go backwards at any moment.
Accumulative Fouls
- Fouls are accumulative per half.
- After the 6th accumulative foul per half, each foul will be a penalty for the opposite team.
Disciplinary Cards
- Aggressive fouls will be punished by yellow and/or red cards depending on the referee's perspective.
- If a yellow card is shown to a player, that player must step out of the field for 3 minutes and the team will play with a player down.
- If a red card is shown to a player, that player must step out of the field and cannot continue to play. The team will play with a player down for 5 minutes.
League Playoffs
- Brackets will be created with 1st place playing against 8th, 2nd against 7th and so on.
- Playoffs will consist of Quarter-Final, Semi-Final and Final.
Point System
- Teams will receive three points for a win, one point for a tie and zero points for a loss.
- In League Playoffs, if the game is tied at the final whistle, both teams will go straight to a penalty shootout.
- The penalty shootout will consist of 5 penalties for each team. In case of a tie, it will go to one-on-one penalty shootouts. Penalties will be American style penalties.
Tie-Breaking Procedures
If two or more teams finish the season with an equal number of points or points per game, the following tiebreakers will be used. If points per game is used, the tiebreakers will be calculated on a per-game basis.
- Goal Differential (GD)
- Goals For (GF)
- Fewest Disciplinary Points per match
- Head-to-head win, based on which team beat the other
- Coin Toss for a tie of two clubs or Drawing of Lots for a tie of three or more clubs
Team Benches
- Both teams will be allowed to have only registered players on the bench.
- Subs can be made at any time during the game or on the fly.
Player Substitutions
- Each team is allowed to have as many substitutions as they want.
- Every player is allowed to come in and out as many times as they want.
Game Clock
- The game clock will start at the designated time of the game. Any delay will affect the duration of the game.
- Teams will play two 25-minute halves with a 5-minute halftime.
- The official game time for all RUSH by UFL games will be managed on the field by the referee.
